I was doing dishes, and heard the starling screeching loudly outside in front. When I went to see what was happening, Saten was meandering across the lawn (soaking wet I might add) while the starling yelled at him from the top of the tree. I held the door open for Saten and soon the squawking stopped. I looked up into the tree one more time, and the starling was gone, but there was one tiny little bird way at the top. At first I thought it was a chickadee, since we have a lot in the yard, but its beak didn't look right. So I got the binoculars and there was no mistaking! There was a soggy ruby-throated hummingbird preening itself at the top of the tree! Yay! I so wish we had more flowers to attract them...

Oh this is the coolest thing ever! Check this out! The Celestron SkyScout Personal Planetarium. This is so much better than other telescopes. It uses a GPS with a huge database of celestial bodies, and can locate and/or accurately identify everything in the sky visible to the naked eye! *SQUEE!* No more wondering what the bright light next to the moon is! This will not only tell you what that thing on its screen is, but will also tell you all about it! And you can hook it up to the computer via your USB port and update its database, so you’ll always have the latest astronomical info! So... like I said before, my birthday’s less than 2 months away... Ok fine, if you can’t handle the $399 (which is saving you over $200), then how about some nice digital camera binoculars for my bird watching?
